Description

This is a late 19th-century building in the Queen Anne revival style, located on the north side of Crutched Friars, EC3. It is three storeys and a basement high, with a garret and a roof featuring numerous dormers. The building is four bays wide and constructed of red brick, with a rusticated stucco ground floor. A narrow round-headed doorway is located on the ground floor, and it shares a carriageway with number 40. The first and second floors feature segmental-headed windows with brick surrounds and stone keys. A moulded brick cornice runs along the top of the building, above a plain parapet. A smaller, subsidiary cornice is positioned above the first-floor windows.
