Description

No. 8 Lloyd's Avenue is a distinguished classical building completed in 1908, designed by R. Norman Shaw. It is constructed of Portland stone and features four storeys plus a slated mansard roof. The ground storey has five windows and is marked by an order of engaged Doric columns made of polished grey granite. The first floor is channelled and has triple bays with segmentally arched windows. The top storey contains nine windows that are separated by squat pilasters, and the building is topped with a modillion cornice.
