Description

A pair of semi-detached houses dating from the early to mid-19th century. The houses are constructed of stucco, with channelled detailing to the ground floor. They have hipped, slated roofs with projecting eaves and a squat central chimney stack. Each house is two storeys high with basements, and has two windows. Round-arched doorways feature keystones, with No. 37 displaying a mask above the doorway. The fanlight above the doorway of No. 37 has been blocked and replaced with a 20th-century lantern, while No. 38 has a 20th-century radial fanlight, both over panelled doors. The windows are recessed sash windows, with flat arches and keystones to the ground floor. The interiors were not inspected. Connected to the houses are cast-iron railings to the front areas, attached low brick garden walls with cast-iron railings featuring urn finials, gate piers, and gates.
