Description
The memorial to Dame Louisa Aldrich-Blake is located in Tavistock Square Gardens and was created in 1926. It features a semicircular stone seat and base designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens. At the center of the seat back rises a stone column, which displays identical bronze busts of Dame Louisa Aldrich-Blake on the front and back. The busts depict her holding a book and are accompanied by inscribed tablets detailing her career. On either side of the column, there are bronze representations of a serpent and staff.
