Description
The Statue of Mahatma Gandhi, located in Tavistock Square Gardens, was created around 1968 by the sculptor Fredda Brilliant. This bronze figure depicts Gandhi in the lotus position and is set on a Portland stone base that features a frontal alcove. The statue is inscribed with the words "Mahatma Gandhi, 1869-1948."
