Description
A pair of semi-detached villas dated to the early 19th century, located on the north-west side of Camden Road. The villas are built of yellow stock brick with stuccoed semi-basements, and have slated roofs with projecting eaves. Each villa has a double-fronted facade with three windows. Stucco pilasters rise from a plain band at ground floor level to support an entablature with an egg-and-dart cornice at eaves level. Number 123 retains an Ionic portico, leading to a doorway with a decorated fanlight and a half-glazed door, approached by steps flanked by cast-iron railings. Number 125 has lost its original portico and steps; it now has a doorway with a decorated fanlight and a half-glazed door, approached by 20th-century open steps and railings. The architraved sash windows on the ground floor have 20th-century horizontal bar window guards. Originally, the windows had console bracketed cornices and cast-iron balconies, which were lost after 1974. The interiors have not been inspected.
