Description

Old Frognal Court is a detached house built around 1785 by T Pool for Sir TS Wilson Bt, with later 19th-century and 20th-century extensions. The house is constructed of yellow stock brick and has three storeys and a semi-basement. Originally, it featured three windows, with further three-window extensions added to the west side. The original central entrance has been replaced with an early 20th-century round-arched stone portico located at the junction of a later extension. The right-hand bay includes a mid-19th-century canted bay window that rises through the basement and ground floor. The windows are wooden architraved sashes, fitted with blind boxes and some shutters. The house features a wooden modillion cornice and a brick blocking course. A plaque is located above the garden doorway on the rear of the property, inscribed "Erected by Sir T.S. Wilson Bt. 1785." The interior of the building has not been inspected.
