Description

19 Percy Street is a terraced house with a later shop, built between 1764 and 1767. It was originally constructed by W Franks, W Richmond, H Roydhouse and J Prichet. The building’s facade was refaced above ground floor to resemble the original appearance. It is constructed of multi-coloured stock brick with a slated mansard roof, featuring dormers. Original stone cornices and a first-floor sill band are present. The house has three storeys, an attic, and a basement, with a three-window front. A 20th-century restaurant frontage occupies the ground floor. A round-arched doorway, featuring a fanlight and panelled door, provides access to the house. The recessed sash windows are topped with gauged red brick flat arches. A parapet sits atop the building. The interior has not been inspected.
