Description

The tomb of John Kemp and family is located in Highgate (Western) Cemetery and dates from around 1842. It features a pedestal made of marble, which is topped by a sculptured urn. The tomb stands on a rectangular stepped plinth that is inscribed with the words "The London Cemetery Company agreed to keep this grave and monument in proper order and repair in perpetuity." The design includes an inscribed pedestal that supports the urn on a stepped base.
