Description
A semi-detached pair of houses located on Wedderburn Road, built in 1887 by Horace Field. The houses are constructed of red brick with hipped and tiled roofs, an eaves cornice, and tall brick chimneys. They feature white-painted wooden sash windows and dormers in the roof. The architectural style is Queen Anne or early Neo-Georgian.
Each house has a long front, spanning eight windows, with strongly projecting single-storey bay windows at each end. Brick porches, also projecting and covered by segment-headed hoods over pilasters, are situated centrally on each house front. The upper storeys are flat-fronted. The interiors have not been inspected.
These houses are part of a group that includes numbers 1, 3, 5, 11, and 13, and represent early works by Field.
