Description
The K6 telephone kiosk, located approximately 3 meters north of the Upper Terrace junction on Heath Street, is a notable example of this type of kiosk. It was designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott and dates from 1935. This particular kiosk is the southern one of a split pair and was manufactured by W MacFarlane of Glasgow. It is made of cast iron and features a square shape with a domed roof. The top panels have unperforated crowns, and the windows and door are fitted with margin glazing.
