Description
Milestone located at the junction of Lower Terrace and Hampstead Grove, dating from the 18th century. It is a rectangular pillar made of Portland stone, with the inscription "IV miles from St. Giles's Pound" on the south face and "4 1/2 miles .... yds from Holborn Bars" on the east face. The nearby Whitestone Pond is named after this milestone.
