Description
Number 27 and the attached railings are a terraced house, originally two houses, built around 1790. The building features multi-coloured stock brick with a rusticated stucco ground floor and a plain stucco sill band on the first floor. It has a slate mansard roof with dormers and stands four storeys tall, including an attic and basement. Each former house has two windows. The ground floor has round-arched openings, with a doorway that includes a vermiculated keystone and pilasters, a fanlight, and enriched console brackets supporting a projecting cornice. The sash windows also have vermiculated keystones, while the upper floors feature gauged brick flat arches above recessed sashes. The building is topped with a parapet. The interior has not been inspected.
