Description

The gates and wall to La Sainte Union des Sacres Coeurs were built around 1864. The wall is made of yellow stock brick, featuring stone dressings and coping. The gate piers are constructed from red brick and were originally topped with stone ball finials. There are two pairs of wrought-iron gates with a scroll design that lead to a semicircular driveway. The central pedestrian gateway has a stone segmental arch, which is topped by a pedimented feature with a cross. This gateway includes a wrought-iron gate that bears the initials J M.
