Description
This is a terrace of eleven houses located at 9-19 Medburn Street. Built between 1841 and 1844, the terrace was restored around 1972 as part of a rehabilitation scheme. The houses are constructed of yellow stock brick, with rusticated stucco at ground floor level. Numbers 13 to 15 slightly project from the main façade, while numbers 9 to 12 are slightly taller. The buildings are three storeys high and include cellars. Each house has two windows. The doorways have round arches with keystones, pilaster jambs that support cornice heads, fanlights above the doors, and panelled doors. The windows have gauged brick flat arches, and the first floor windows are complemented by cast iron balconies. Parapets top the buildings, with a stucco band below the coping on the central houses. The interiors were not inspected.
