Description
Rymer Farmhouse is an 18th-century farmhouse that was altered in the early 19th century. It has an L-shaped form and stands two storeys tall. The building is constructed of knapped flint with white brick rusticated quoins and dressings, topped with a hipped roof covered in black glazed pantiles.
On the ground floor, there is one small-paned sash window, while two similar windows have been blocked and replaced by a canted bay window with a tented roof and French windows. The upper storey features a range of four small-paned sash windows. A fully enclosed porch, built in the late 19th century from flint and brick, has a hipped roof and a late 20th-century panelled door. At the rear, there is a wing consisting of two parallel ranges; the eastern range has casement windows and an internal chimney stack, which may be older than the front of the farmhouse.
