Shop with 2 flats above. Mid C19. White brick; slate roof with parapet and moulded brick cornice. EXTERIOR: 4 storeys and cellar. 4 window range, sashes with clear glass in plain deep reveals with gauged brick segmental arches, moulded stone keystones and sills on stub brackets. In the centre of the first storey a moulded console bracket carries a stone pestle and mortar, indicating that this was for many years a chemist's shop. A dentil frieze and cornice to the shop front. At the east end, a recessed door with ornate panels in Jacobean style and a semicircular roll-moulded surround gives access to the upper storeys. INTERIOR: the cellar is mainly lined in C19 brick with reused timber beams in the ceiling, but the party wall on the east is principally of limestone blocks, laid in random fashion.
