Description
46 High Street is a shop with flats above, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from stuccoed and colourwashed brick, topped with a slate roof. The building has three storeys and is divided into two bays. The late 19th-century shop front features a full-width plate-glass design with a central recessed door. To the left, there is a half-glazed door with an overlight that provides access to the upper flats. The first floor is illuminated by two 8/8 sash windows, while the second floor has four 4/4 sash windows arranged horizontally. The gabled roof has overhanging eaves supported by triple modillions, and there is an internal gable-end stack on the south side. Inside, the ground-floor walls are entirely clad in planks, while the upper floors have not been inspected.
