Shop with storage above, formerly a house and shop, on a corner site. Late C15/early C16 front range, extended c1600. Timber-framed and rendered, jettied along the side frontage, with the joist ends of the jetty exposed; formerly also jettied along front. C20 plaintiled roofs. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and attics; front range in 2 bays and a long return front to High Baxter Street. 3 windows to Abbeygate Street, sashes with a single vertical bar to lights. Parapet and wooden modillion cornice; 2 flat-headed dormers have sash windows with vertical glazing-bars. A late C20 shop front to the ground storey. The later rear range has a row of 8 linked small-paned sash windows and 2 paired sash windows to the upper storey. INTERIOR with little visible. A dragon-beam was uncovered in the front range during restoration c1980, and on the upper storey part of the tie-beam of the central truss is exposed, with a heavy supporting brace. C19 roof trusses to rear range.
