Description

Ardath Cottage, formerly known as Lion Cottage, is a 17th-century cottage located on the north-west side of The Street in Stoke by Clare. The building is timber-framed and plastered, featuring a thatched roof. It consists of three cells and has one storey with attics. The entrance is marked by a boarded door, flanked by two small two-light casement windows on each side. To the right of the door is a larger small-paned window, and above the central window is a three-light casement eyebrow dormer. A brick stack is positioned above the door. The cottage is part of a group of listed buildings along The Street, which includes Green Farmhouse, The Green (Lower).
