Description

Layer Cottage is a 17th century timber-framed and plastered house that has been altered in the 18th and 19th centuries. The building has two storeys and features a four-window range with double-hung sashes that include glazing bars. On the ground floor, there are two three-light square bay windows and a porch that projects from the front. The roof is tiled. Layer Cottage is part of a group of listed buildings along The Street, which includes Green Farmhouse, The Green (Lower).
