Description

This is a late 16th-century barn located 300 yards north of Southwood Park Farmhouse. The structure features six bays, two aisles, and one midstrey. It is timber-framed and weatherboarded, topped with a corrugated iron roof supported by wind-braced clasped purlins. The aisle tie-beams are jowled and braced up to the heads of the arcade posts, and there is wall tension-bracing at the gable ends.
