Description
Horsepool Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 16th century, with alterations made in the 17th and 18th centuries. It has two storeys and features four windows. The structure is timber framed and rendered, topped with a concrete tiled roof that includes a central chimney made of red brick, which has 19th-century saw-tooth pattern flues. The house has gabled casement dormers and 20th-century casements, along with a boarded entrance door. The building was constructed in three stages: the central section was built in the mid or late 16th century and originally had a hipped roof over the east end; a further gabled block was added to the east end in the 17th century; and the west parlour end was rebuilt in the early 18th century.
