Description

The garden room, located 10 yards west of Hengrave Hall, was built around 1900. It is a single-storey structure with two windows, featuring a timber frame and brick-nogging. The roof is covered with clay pantiles and has gabled hips, deep open eaves, and a red brick chimney with a moulded circular shaft. There is also a gabled casement dormer. The oak joinery is identical to the early 16th-century work found in Hengrave Hall and was evidently taken from it around 1900. This includes square-headed two- and four-light mullioned windows with arched heads for each light, as well as a doorcase with an arched head and carved spandrels.
