Lateran Tye is an early 18th-century cottage that has one storey with attics and features two windows. The building is timber-framed and rendered, showcasing herringbone pargetting. It has a thatched roof with a central axial chimney. The windows are diamond leaded casements, some of which have hood-moulds.
