3/78 Bridge Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Late C16. 2 storeys. Basic 2-cell lobby entrance plan, 4 bays, with a 5th bay added in late C17. Timber-framed with timbers exposed on front, rendered on sides and rear. Plaintiled roof, internal chimney-stack. 2 3- light mid C19 cast iron casements with small panes and ornate heads. On right, a single-storey canted bay window with pitched, plaintiled roof. On upper storey, 2 blocked original windows, 2 2-light C19 casements, and one small original diamond mullioned window over porch. Single-storey gabled porch, with plaintiled roof and fretted barge-boards. A c,1950 cross-wing on extreme right. The house is set sidewys to the road.
