Description

The ornamental centrepiece in St Mary's Square, Bury St Edmunds, was created in 1874. Made of terracotta and stamped with "MH Blanchard, London, 1874," it features a central ornate flower pedestal. This pedestal stands on a square stepped and moulded base, which is adorned with a square pedestal topped by an urn at each corner. Below each urn, there is a small flower bed enclosed in a moulded circular terracotta surround.
