Description

Stanton Road Farmhouse is a late 17th-century farmhouse with one storey and attics, featuring a three-cell lobby-entrance plan. The building is timber-framed and rendered, with 20th-century pargetting on the front. It has a brick gable end and a plain-tiled roof. There are two internal chimney stacks with plain red brick shafts; the original stack on the east side is made of small Tudor bricks. The farmhouse includes two-light small-paned casement windows and one small tripartite sash window. It also has three gabled dormers with plain bargeboards and two plank doors. Inside, the ceilings are low, and the main beams and joists are set on edge. The chimney stack on the west side is a 19th-century addition.
