Description

New Delight is a house dating from the 17th century, featuring one-and-a-half storeys and a three-cell layout. It is constructed with a timber frame and plastered exterior, topped with a pantiled roof that has plain bargeboards. The house includes an internal chimney stack with a plain shaft. There are two 2-light casement windows with cross-bars, along with one small-paned 2-light casement window. A gabled dormer with plain bargeboards is also present. The roof is supported by side purlins. The unusual name of the house is believed to originate from a former public house located on the opposite side of the road, which was owned by the same family.
