Description
Hill Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid-17th century. It has two storeys and attics, featuring a three-cell lobby-entrance plan. The building is constructed with a timber frame and rendered exterior, topped with a Roman tiled roof. There are two three-light windows with transoms on both storeys, and attic windows are located in the gable ends. A fully-enclosed 20th-century porch made of brick, with a pitched roof and shaped gable, has been added to the front. The internal chimney stack has been reduced to roof level. At the rear, there is a long single-storey service range. Inside, the timber frame remains intact, although it is mostly covered by wallpaper. The main beams have plain chamfers and scroll stops.
