Description
Vicarage Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid-17th century, with restoration in the 19th century. It has a T-shaped plan with a service range at the rear. The building is timber framed, partially plastered, and partially covered in colourwashed brick, featuring some thin applied timbers on the upper part of the facade and on the gables. The roof is slated at the front and pantiled at the rear. The farmhouse has two storeys and an attic, arranged in a two-cell form. There are three windows that are symmetrically placed, mainly consisting of 19th-century three-light casements without glazing bars. A 19th-century gabled porch features an arched window at the front and a four-panel door to one side. The central axial stack is a notable feature. Internally, little of the structure is visible, but there are ovolo-moulded bridging beams in two rooms and newel stairs. The roof includes two rows of stepped butt purlins.
