Description
This is a barn located at Church Farm, 50 metres southwest of All Saints Church, dating from the mid-16th century. The barn has four bays and is unaisled, constructed from timber framing and weatherboarding, with an asbestos-sheeted roof. It features random 20th-century windows. The close-studded framing is of above-average quality, with arch-type wall wind-bracing at the end walls and in the terminal bays, originally infilled with wattle and daub. The barn has arch-braced, slightly cambered tie-beams. The original roof was hipped at both ends but was completely rebuilt in the 20th century. The main entrance is located on the south side, at the second bay from the east end.
