Description

10 The Pound is a house dating from the 16th century or early 17th century. It likely features a three-cell cross-passage entrance plan and stands one and a half storeys tall with attics. The building is timber-framed and has rough-cast rendering. It has a thatched roof with a central red brick chimney. The windows are 20th-century casements, and the entrance door is battened and boarded, topped with an asbestos-slated canopy supported by brackets. A large chimney from the 16th or 17th century serves the original hall, which has exposed framing, as well as the parlour.
