Description

Bryers is a farmhouse dating from around 1600, featuring two storeys and a three-cell lobby-entrance plan. The building is timber-framed and rendered, with the framing exposed along the front wall. It has an asbestos-slated roof, which includes axial and gable chimneys made of red brick. The windows are small-pane casements from the 19th and 20th centuries, and there is a panelled entrance door from the 20th century. Inside, there are back-to-back open fireplaces located in the hall and parlour. The original thatched roof was destroyed by fire and was rebuilt around 1930.
