Description
The Watermill is a disused watermill dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a black glazed pantiled roof, designed to resemble a church, complete with a small crenellated tower. The upper stage has pointed Gothic windows. The machinery inside is intact, with the waterwheel powering a single pair of stones and a reciprocating pump that raised water to a tank in the tower, which supplied water to Euston Hall. A watermill was part of the estate when Lord Arlington purchased it in the 1660s, suggesting that this structure is a rebuilding on the same site.
