Description

King Charles' Gate is a pair of ornate stone gate piers and railings that provide access from the eastern side of Euston Hall gardens into the park. Dating from the mid to late 17th century, the gate is designed in the Baroque style. The high piers feature rusticated bases and are pierced by elongated arches, topped with small segmental pediments. Above these pediments are decorated, elongated vases, which are surrounded by four ball finials. On either side of the gate, spear railings are set between low double console piers that are also topped with ball finials.
