Description
The stables to Euston Hall, now converted into living accommodation, date from the late 17th century with early 18th-century alterations. The building is two storeys high and features projecting wings to the east and west, constructed of red brick. It has a steeply-pitched hipped roof covered in slate, with a dentil cornice and a triangular pediment on the south side. Atop the roof is a cupola that includes a clock on its north and south faces, along with an open upper storey featuring a tented ogee roof, finished with a ball finial and weathercock.
On the south front, the ground storey displays blank arcades with Diocletian windows, some of which are false, while the upper storey has small-paned sash windows. The north front has a blank ground storey with a mounting-block at the east end, and the upper storey contains eight small-paned sash windows arranged irregularly. An open archway runs through the building from north to south, featuring rounded arches with heavy chamfered rustication in stone. Inside each of the two wings, there is a late 17th-century geometric stair that resembles the stair within the main house, complete with turned balusters, a wide balustrade, and hanging finials.
