Description
Town Meadow Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It has a timber frame and is plastered, topped with a thatched roof. The building consists of two cells and has one storey plus an attic. The entrance is located in a 20th-century lean-to attached to the front right. The cottage features 19th-century metal glazing bar casements. At the right end, there is a large red brick stack with offsets, which is external to the front and has a pantiled oven outshot. The main building extends beyond the stack to the rear. The gable end reveals exposed plates and purlins. Inside, there is a four-fielded panelled door leading into the hall, which includes a stop-chamfered cross axial binding beam and stop-chamfered joists. The first floor has not been inspected.
