Description

Tyrells Farm House is a house dating to the 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is timber-framed and has plaster walls, covered by a thatched roof. The house follows a three-cell lobby entry plan with a rear wing. It is one storey high with an attic. The entrance is located to the right of the centre, within a 20th-century pantiled lean-to porch. Flanking the entrance are 19th-century casement windows with metal glazing bars and hood boards. There are three 2-light dormers with bargeboarded gabled heads. An axial ridge stack is present. Left-hand side 20th-century casements display exposed plates and purlins. A two-bay wing extends to the rear right, incorporating an entrance on the inner return. The interior has not been inspected.
