Description
Cardrews is a house dating from the late 16th century or early 17th century. It features a timber frame construction with a roughcast finish and a thatched roof. The building has a two-cell lobby entry plan and is one storey high with an attic. The central entrance is flanked by 19th-century part-opening, nine-pane metal frame casement windows, all of which have hoodboards. There are also two-light metal glazing bar dormers on the roof and a central ridge stack. The gable ends have two-light attic casements, with exposed plates and purlins visible. There is a 20th-century outshut on the left end. Inside, there is a roll-moulded cross axial binding beam, although the interior has not been fully inspected.
