Description
Endon House is a house that was later converted into four dwellings. It dates from around 1600 and was extended in the late 17th century, with further raising and alterations made in the 20th century. The building features timber frames with roughcast and has both pantiled and slate roofs. It has a three-cell lobby entry plan with a two-bay lobby entry axial parlour addition on the right side. The house is two storeys high, with the earlier part having an entrance located to the right of the centre. The windows include 1, 2, and 3-light glazing bar casements from the 19th and 20th centuries, along with an early lattice leaded light at the rear. There are 20th-century garage doors on the far left. A rebuilt axial ridge stack is present on the raised pantiled roof, and a left end external stack has been added, now incorporated into a one-storey lean-to outshut. The parlour bays on the right feature a four-fielded panelled door, similar casements, and a ridge stack on a slightly lower slate roof. The right gable end has a weatherboarded attic. Inside, there are stop-chamfered axial binding beams, arched braces in the walling, jowled posts, and thinner scantling framing in the parlour bays.
