Description
Willow Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century, with alterations and extensions made in the 20th century. It has a timber frame that is plastered and features a thatched roof. The building consists of two cells and is one storey high with an attic. There is a central entrance with a studded door, and the windows are 1 and 2-light 20th-century glazing bar casements with hoodboards. The cottage has two 2-light dormers with pantiled heads. On the right end, there is an external stack with twin large offsets and flanking pantiled lean-to oven outshots, while the left end has an extruded stack that tapers to a cap. There are also 20th-century lean-to outshuts on the left and at the rear. Inside, the cottage features exposed studding of thin scantling, stop-chamfered axial binding beams, straight braces from jowled posts to tie beams, and cambered collars clasping purlins.
