Description

Sparrows Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is timber-framed and plastered, featuring a thatched roof that is hipped to the left side, with a side stack and a ridge stack located to the right of center. The building has two storeys and a rear outshut, following a three-unit plan. The main entrance has a 20th-century door and is accessed by steps. On the ground floor, there are two horizontal sliding sash windows and one nine-paned hung sash window to the right, with a similar arrangement of windows on the first floor. The cottage has a plastered plinth, and the interior reveals exposed timber framing and floor frames.
