Description

The village pump, located at the corner of Church Green and High Street in Hinxton, dates from the 19th century. It is made of cast iron and features a fluted head with a domed cap, a spout, and a weighted handle, which is positioned over a well or cistern. The pump has a maker's plaque inscribed with the name Barnford.
