Description
Church Green Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century, with later additions from the 18th and 19th centuries, and a 20th-century renovation. The house has a timber frame, now rendered with 20th-century pargetting, and a thatched roof, hipped on the right-hand side. A red brick plinth and two rebuilt chimney stacks are also present. The house is one storey and attic, arranged in an L-shape to the corner. The main entrance faces south, and the south elevation features six casement windows on the ground floor and four casement dormer windows. Inside, the timber frame is exposed, and there are inserted floor frames made from reused timber. An inglenook hearth is visible, with shaped heads to the niches.
