Description
This is a 3-stead threshing barn located 45 metres south of Brome Park Farmhouse, built in the mid-18th century and converted into a house in 1994. The barn features a timber frame set on a brick plinth, with no wall cladding and a roof made of corrugated iron. There is an open cart entrance on the north side and a transept entrance on the south side, with no doors present. The roof is gabled.
Inside, the barn has a box frame with jowled principal studs and a middle rail. It includes tie beams supported by straight braces and one tier of staggered butt purlins. Additionally, there is a cart shed attached to the east gable, constructed from breeze blocks in 1994, with a gabled pantile roof. Brome Park Farmhouse is not included in this listing.
