Description
Conifer Cottage is a house dating from the early 17th century, with alterations made in the 19th and 20th centuries. It features a rendered and colourwashed timber frame set on a brick plinth, topped with a roof of corrugated tiles. The building has a lobby entrance plan and stands two storeys tall with an attic. The south front has a two-window range, with a late 20th-century glazed door to the right, sheltered by a 20th-century trellis porch. To the left of the door is a three-light late 20th-century casement window, and above it is a two-light Crittall casement. To the right, over the door, is a three-light ovolo-moulded mullioned window. The gabled roof has a rendered and battered ridge stack positioned over the door. The west gable end has 20th-century windows, and there is a 19th-century outshut at the rear. Inside, the west room features sunk-quadrant-moulded bridging beams with twin soffit fillets.
