Description
The Bungalow is an estate lodge cottage built around 1830. It is constructed of red brick with a brick plinth and features a roof made of plain and fish scale tiles at the front, while the rear has pantiles. The building is designed in the Tudor Revival style and has a U-shaped plan with projecting gabled wings. It is a single-storey structure with 2-light casements in the wings and a 3-light window in the center, with a door located to the left of this central window. There are additional 2-light casements on the sides of the wings and on the front, all featuring hood moulds. To the left side and rear, there is a small extension that includes small casements and a projecting truncated stack. The recessed central section of the front may have been brought forward, as indicated by a portion of flat roof, but this appears to be an early alteration since the plinth, bricks, and mortar match the rest of the building. The Bungalow is noted for its fine and elaborate ornamental stacks.
