Description
The Bull Inn is a public house dating from the 17th century, featuring a three-cell lobby-entrance plan. It has one storey and attics, constructed with a timber frame and plastered exterior. The building is topped with a thatched roof, which includes three plain-tiled gabled casement dormers. A central 17th-century chimney made of red brick is present. The windows are mid-20th century small-pane casements. At the lobby entrance, there is a thatched gabled porch from the 20th century, which has a half-glazed panelled door. Inside, the lounge bar occupies what was once the parlour cell, where plain 17th-century framing is visible along with a lintelled fireplace that has a splayed back. Much of the remaining framing is concealed. To the right of the main structure is a late 19th-century wing that has been integrated into the lounge bar; this wing is made of red brick with gault brick dressings and features a parapet gable, topped with a pantiled roof and small pane sash windows.
