Description

Green Farmhouse is a 16th-century farmhouse with alterations from the mid-19th century. The original timber frame core is now encased in red brick dating to the mid-19th century. The roof is tiled with pantiles, with glazed black tiles at the front. The farmhouse has two storeys and a three-cell, cross-entry plan. It has three windows, which are small-paned casements under cambered arches, dating to the 19th century. A 19th-century four-panel door is present. There is an internal stack, likely added later. The hall and parlour have plain joists. Some first-floor timber framing is exposed, with evidence of earlier diamond-mullioned windows. A newel stair is included. The eaves were raised, and the roof was renewed at a shallower pitch in the mid-19th century.
